Thanksgiving fun!!

Happy Monday everyone!!! WOW!! This has been a really FAST day!! I know that it has been awhile since I have been on here-I hope everyone is doing great. Alittle less than 2 weeks and then it will be Christmas break-Something seriously GREAT for me to look forward to :)

I figured that it was way past time to post my pics from sewing with sis. I wanted to make a reversible messenger bag. I found the top wild fabric on sale at Hobby Lobby a few months ago and fell in love with it. I wasn't sure what I wanted to make out of it but I knew that I had to have it. So after staring at it non-stop I finally decided that I would use it to make my bag. My sister and I have the worst habit of getting together and then not doing really anything-We always say that we are going to do something FUN and GREAT but then it never happens. So we decided weeks in advance that we would have a plan of action and actually follow through and the bag idea was born.
I had a vision in my head-Unfortunately it didn't end up being as easy as I had hoped it would be. The getting it together was fine. Alittle too big so I will have to alter it one day-Knowing me 10 years from now :)

The strap is what I had a time with and I truely HATE it-So needless to say the bag has been hanging in my closet since. Fingers crossed over Christmas Break I will fix it into something that I will really LOVE and start to use.

Here is my sis hard at work. She put quite a bit more into hers-Which totally explains why hers turned out so great. I ended up getting frustrated and quiting before I was completely done with mine.
Ahhh-My pretty Christmas tree :) I have lived in a really small house for the last few years so I bought a small tree a few years ago. I was really excited that this year I actually have room for my big tree and my small tree. Yes-I put up both :) The picture of the small one didn't turn out. I know this picture isn't the greatest (It looks way better in person) But you get the idea. I will try again later. (Maybe)
Only Two weeks left of my class-YIPPEEE!!! This has felt like forever-Fingers crossed that I make atleast a C :)
Until next time-I am out!! Happy week to everyone :)

Sewing with Sis

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all did too. My sis and I sewed all day on Saturday (as per our pre-arranged plans). It was supposed to be a boy free weekend, but my sis's husband didn't leave. It ended up working out okay in the end. The picture doesn't show it, but my bag is HUGE. It fits all the yarn I have and the afghan project I have been working on and there is still room for more. If I make this bag again then I will definitely adjust the size a bit. In the picture the color looks a little more neon than it really is. It is a green striped with a white and tan fabric.
I have also included a picture of my afghan progress. This project is quickly loosing steam since it is taking forever to finish.

Good afternoon

Hey everyone. Sorry I don't have pictures or anything good to share but, I wanted to tell you that I have still been working on my afghany thing. I have gotten quite a bit done but I keep forgetting to take a picture to share. I apologize. I will be sure to take a picture soon since I haven't done anything else. I have some days off coming up so I hope to be a bit more productive soon. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I bought some cinnamon scented pine cones to get me in the Christmas spirit. Now I cannot wait until Thanksgiving so I can start decorating. I don't care what anyone else says.. You are not supposed to decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. My neighbors have had their decorations out for over a week now. We can't just skip over the great day of thanks. It is my favorite holiday after all. No commercialization or greedy gift receiving. Just families sitting around the dinner table to eat and give thanks. What could be more peaceful than that?

I hope you all have a good week.

So starts another week

Happy day everyone! I don't really have a bunch to share today-Just wanted to say Hello. I have been off of work for the last 4 days. It was a nice break but at the same time it didn't feel like I really had any time off. I spent the first two days doing school work and the last two days just flew by.
I did win my first video game this weekend-that was very exciting :) I have three boys so I have had many years of video game playing and well I totally suck. So usually anytime that I actually do play they spend the whole time giving me a pep talk. I think that they are scared that I will quit playing if they actually come out and say how bad I really am-Like I don't already know- I mean come on I lose everytime. Anyways-we were playing Wii sports on Saturday night and we were bowling. It took me alittle while-But I did it :) Only once but still. They were all shocked and I think alittle scared :) They way they all reacted you would think that I had found the cure for cancer or something else truely amazing.
Anywho-Have a great week!

Wednesday!!! YAAA!!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!! This week is moving by so slow it is about to make me crazy :) How was everyones halloween? Ours was a lot of fun. Just thought that I would share a few pics with everyone.
My oldest loves Halloween and everything Halloween related. He was the only one that wanted to get all dressed up. I was really impressed with his choice and how he put everything together. The wig is a bit crazy but I love the face paint. He was Gene Simmons last year and this year I think this is Ace Freley so I wonder which one he will pick next year?
I was really disappointed that my 9 year old didn't get all excited like he normally does. Usually he has decided on a costume months before Halloween but not this year. So his brother painted his face so he would have something halloween related. Next year I will have to try harder to get him all excited :) He is my youngest I should still get atleast a few more good years.
The middle one is always in his own world :). He did not want to dress up at all. His big costume was to have his hair straightened and to wear some sunglasses. We had a bunch of people over
that night and he was grabbing whatever he could find from other people and came up with this. This is silly enough-But the poses were seriously priceless and freakin hilarious-Sorry didn't get any pics of the really awesome ones.
Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween. Enjoy the rest of your week-I am seriously trying to :)
Take care.
