I know we haven't posted in awhile, but I wanted to drop a few lines just to say "What's Up?". I am not working on any projects really, but I did start working on my afghany blanket again. I grew discouraged after working on it for a VERY long time and it still wasn't finished. It is my own fault for making it so big. I am not working on it consistently, just a few lines here and there when I have time.
I find out what I am having in about 3 weeks and I expects the projects to start back up then. I mean I have a nursery to get ready, a blanket or three to make, a few outfits to make, and any other stuff I see that I must have. I have been holding off until I know what the sex is so I can pick a color scheme. I am torn between soft cottage chic for a girl or big bold bright colors. To be honest, I haven't been giving much thought to the nursery if I have a boy. They aren't as much fun to decorate and dress up. Boy's stuff is so much plainer. I love the bold and frilly stuff you can do for a girl and get away with it. I know my sis will also be thrilled if I have a girl. She has seen enough boy stuff to last her a lifetime.
Sorry I don't have any pictures to share. I will take photos of the projects I am working on when I start in about three weeks.
Have a safe and happy St. Patrick's Day!

Long hiatus
I know it has been a really long time since I have posted. I hope you don't think that I have forgotten or given up on this blog. Truth is, I have been a bit tired and lacking motivation. In order to make it up to you I have posted a picture that explains my absence. I hope you don't mind that I cheated a bit because I didnt actually take the picture.
This is my new peanut. I know it is hard to tell in the grainy photo, but this is the best looking kid ever. The smartest too, but I am a little biased.

I have made it through my first trimester and I think it is safe to share my news now. I hope you can forgive my silence and I look forward to having a new awesome subject for my photography.

OZZY!!!!!
Happy Wednesday!!! Hope everyone is having a GREAT week. So far it has been really fast for me-Fingers crossed that it doesn't slow down :)
Last Thursday we went and saw Ozzy Osbourne in concert. So I thought that I would share.
My older son's friend won two free tickets and his family had already bought tickets for them to go, so they gave their free tickets to us for FREE!!!

I have wanted to see Ozzy since I was in 8th grade but there was always a reason or an excuse as to why I couldn't go. Free tickets-I figured that was a sign that I really needed to go :) So we went to Dallas to the American Airlines Center.

I am not too familiar with Dallas so I was alittle bit nervous. I had printed out a few different maps in case I got lost and had GPS for backup. Anyways- everything started out great it was the ending that wasn't so awesome. We get to Dallas, we see the building that we need to be at but I miss my road and for the life of me cannot figure out how to get to this building. The GPS starts going crazy telling me to turn where there are no roads to turn on. So I am starting to freak out alittle and I am arguing with the GPS. My son very calmly figures out where we need to go and all is fine :) Bless his heart for having such a nutty mom like me :)
We had a few hours to kill before the concert started so we walked around downtown and took pictures.

I have been to many concerts in my life and I have to say that this one was my all time favorite. I do not know if it was because the show was really great or if it is because I have wanted to see Ozzy in concert for so long. Whatever the reason-I did NOT want it to end.
Slash from Guns and Roses opened for him. Which was pretty impressive-Isn't Slash old? He was jumping around and was totally full of energy.

We didn't have to wait long for Ozzy to come on next. His show started with a short movie of him in different skits. It was really funny-I am sure that if you wanted you could find it on youtube. He performed for almost two hours and I loved every minute of it. He played new stuff, he played old stuff-He played Black Sabbath stuff. It was truly a great mixture of everything. I am really glad that we decided to go.

Anyway-enjoy the rest of your week and have a great weekend. The nephews are turning one and having their party so that is where we will be. It is so hard to believe that it has already been a year-Kids grow up way too fast.

Yes we are still Alive :)
First things first-I know that we totally suck at this whole blogging thing and for that I want to say sorry :) Sometimes there just isn't any motivation or time. And at other times life is just so darn BORING that we just can't see the point in sharing and boring everyone else to tears.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I hope everyone had a HAPPY and SAFE holiday. Mine was great- I had two weeks off!! I didn't really accomplish as much as I had hoped, but I did get to spend time with my AWESOME boys so I am not complaining :) For those of you that actually know me-know that I am more of an idea person than a doer anyway (one of my many flaws).
I made Christmas dinner this year-My very first time in my whole entire life and it actually turned out :) I LOVE it when things go the way that they are supposed to. I did cheat alittle-we bought a precooked Turkey and Ham so we only had to cook them for 2 hours instead of the normal 6-8 hours. But they were soooo good. We had ham, turkey, cheesy broccoli w/ rice, green bean casserole, salad, rolls, potato salad, dressing, cheescake, key lime pie, and two pecan pies.
Here are my new Christmas dishes that I bought last year, I was so excited to get to use them!!!!

Christmas Eve we made a ton of cookies. My youngest refuses to believe that there is no Santa so he always leaves a plate of cookies. See the santa hat? That is his sleeping cap now-It is so funny when I go check on him and he is fast asleep with that hat pulled down over his eyes. Kids are so FUNNY sometimes :) The gingerbread house was a lot of fun but talk about a crazy mess everywhere.

A day of painting:

Here are my few attempts at crocheting. The hats are really easy and don't take long to make too bad I can't figure out how to make the right size. I either make them too small or too big-I guess I will have to keep practicing. I want to learn how to make gloves-Maybe that will be next?

Since I had two weeks off I decided to get alittle wild-So what do you think-Is pink my color?

New Years we had a blast. We stayed home and played games and shot off fireworks and stayed up way too LATE!!
Anyways-The holidays were great!!! Hopefully everyone else had as much fun as I did. 2010 was a good year-fingers crossed that 2011 will be even better! Maybe with the new year we can do better with this whole blog thing-Who knows? But knowing us probably not :)
Have a great week!

Thanksgiving fun!!
Happy Monday everyone!!! WOW!! This has been a really FAST day!! I know that it has been awhile since I have been on here-I hope everyone is doing great. Alittle less than 2 weeks and then it will be Christmas break-Something seriously GREAT for me to look forward to :)
I figured that it was way past time to post my pics from sewing with sis. I wanted to make a reversible messenger bag. I found the top wild fabric on sale at Hobby Lobby a few months ago and fell in love with it. I wasn't sure what I wanted to make out of it but I knew that I had to have it. So after staring at it non-stop I finally decided that I would use it to make my bag. My sister and I have the worst habit of getting together and then not doing really anything-We always say that we are going to do something FUN and GREAT but then it never happens. So we decided weeks in advance that we would have a plan of action and actually follow through and the bag idea was born.
I had a vision in my head-Unfortunately it didn't end up being as easy as I had hoped it would be. The getting it together was fine. Alittle too big so I will have to alter it one day-Knowing me 10 years from now :)

Here is my sis hard at work. She put quite a bit more into hers-Which totally explains why hers turned out so great. I ended up getting frustrated and quiting before I was completely done with mine.

The strap is what I had a time with and I truely HATE it-So needless to say the bag has been hanging in my closet since. Fingers crossed over Christmas Break I will fix it into something that I will really LOVE and start to use.

Ahhh-My pretty Christmas tree :) I have lived in a really small house for the last few years so I bought a small tree a few years ago. I was really excited that this year I actually have room for my big tree and my small tree. Yes-I put up both :) The picture of the small one didn't turn out. I know this picture isn't the greatest (It looks way better in person) But you get the idea. I will try again later. (Maybe)
Only Two weeks left of my class-YIPPEEE!!! This has felt like forever-Fingers crossed that I make atleast a C :)
Until next time-I am out!! Happy week to everyone :)
